Each den will be assigned to bring items from the above list. Plan on 50 people. Paula shall organize and contact the other den leaders.
Draft letter: Sometimes business may be willing to help out non-profits. Rules set by the National Scout organization allow packs to ask for donations. Packs are not allow to publish or advertise. But during the event the pack can inform attendee who supplied an item. Of course a thank-you letter to the business is in order also!
Bruce will draft a letter to use to approach a business or businesses looking for a donation in this case donuts (not the sugary kind) that way we will not only be able to speak to them but can hand them this letter informing them of our pack’s need. This letter should contain who we are and what our event will be and possibly where it will take place.
Chairs: Firehouse does not have tons of chairs.
Todd Cascario to let Bill know how many chairs the firehouse has ______.
Additional chairs are needed to accommodate the 50 or so estimated guests
Volunteers are needed to pick up chairs Friday 11/21 at LSS before the end of the school day (2:30).
Bruce: offered to borrow a truck and handle the task of picking up the chairs on Fri 11/21 from LSS.
Help will be needed to take chairs to firehouse Sunday 11/23 and set them up for the Regatta.
Help will be needed to break down chairs at the end of the event and load them offsite.
Bill R. said if need be we can store them in his garage.
Chairs need to be returned to LSS on Monday 11/24
Pack Meeting:
· Next pack meeting on Tuesday 11/25
Main highlight:
· Bobcat ceremony for Tiger scouts
Bruce and Bill to contact Oliver (Tiger den leader) to make sure his scouts are ready and to figure out which ceremony method is best.
Bill suggested some form of face painting to make it fun for the kids and not so formal.
Skits:
· Each den should perform a skit
Uniform inspections:
· Discussed how we could award the scouts for their participation.
· Discussed awards for each scout. (Certificate or ribbon?)
· We agreed that it is not necessary to recognize each scout. Instead to award each den that has 100% participation. 100% participation means, scouts wearing the correct hat and neckerchief slide for his den, patches displayed in the correct location on the uniform.
Paula shall contact Diana Reid to ask if she would be willing to create a certificate for us.
Pinewood Derby:
· Cars should be handed out at the next pack meeting on 11/25.
· Bruce to purchase cars at Council by 11/15.
· Paula needs to contact Bill G. to get the necessary funds to send to the Elks to secure our date.
· Date of event: Sat 1/24.
Holiday Party:
· Held mid December. Dates to be determined depending upon the availability at each facility.
· Rose Commons: Tigers will team up with Webelos I and Webelos II dens.
· Fox Hill: Wolf and bear scouts will team up.
Paula shall contact the facilities to secure dates and then get the info out to the dens.
Wolf Pack:
· Diana Reid is organizing this event that will take place Saturday 11/8 in Hartford
· She e-mailed the pack leaders w/ specific information as to how to sign up and contact her.
Boston Museum of Science Sleepover:

· This is school vacation week.
· Parents to be informed that it runs into Monday morning.
· Bill to contact parents via phone to find out if they are interested
Blue and Gold Banquet:
· Bill may need to change the existing date.
· He needs to make this date change if applicable by 12/1.
Next committee meeting should have an agenda typed up prior to the meeting to go out to the group so everyone knows what the key points are that will be discussed at the meeting.
