Fall Camporee

Start: 2007/10/27 - 1:00pm

End: 2007/10/28 - 1:30pm

Timezone: Etc/GMT-4

It appears this is open to our Webelos II scouts with a host troop only.

Excerpt:

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE CAMPOREE (October 27 & 28)
The camporee begins Saturday afternoon and the activities start in the evening after dark. Patrols
are given orders to accomplish several night events during the course of the evening. An adult
accompanies each patrol for safety purposes. Patrols are awarded points based on their
performance in achieving each event. A cracker barrel is offered as part of the events.
The theme is designed to appeal to the sense of fun, adventure, and imagination so active in boys.
In addition, the program helps to put into practice Scouting skills, team building, personal
reflection, physical agility, and resourcefulness. Second year Webelos are invited to attend with
a host Troop.
Mission Impossible requires approximately 30- 35 staff members. These are volunteers
from each unit attending and all units are expected to assist with the camporee in order
for it to be safe and successful. Unit involvement will enhance the experience for the
boys and make it fun for all of us. Early registration is requested to provide adequate
planning, staff meetings, and materials. Registration fee is $10 per Scout and Adult. This
fee includes a specially designed Camporee patch, insurance, all program supplies, and
awards.

FirstLegoLeague

First Lego League Team pages.

Meetings are at Bill G's garage Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00

Welcome to the Pack 221 sponsored First Lego League team pages. Our first team will only be for Webelos, per FLL rules.

There is actually a league for the younger boys too: Junior First Lego League. Currently we have no Pack sponsored teams for JFLL.

Check out this page for some helpful tips...in particular the Programming Tips one has some good solid common sense advice.

This site has some nice tutorials:
Oregon Robotics Tournaments and Outreach Program

NXT hacking

Looking for other languages/software tools for NXT? Try this wikipedia entry.

Page of interesting links:

extremenxt lego links

Another hacking site. This article was in Servo Magazine.

One place where you can buy parts:

robotstorehk.com

Ohhh...nice site here: NXT Programs

Another source of sensors from a Lego partner:

http://www.legoeducation.com/vernier

An awesome source of a wide variety of parts: www.peeron.com
